Create an assistant
Create an assistant in the Chatevo dashboard — no code required for a document-only setup.
Step 1 — Open Assistants
Section titled “Step 1 — Open Assistants”- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to Assistants → Create assistant.
Step 2 — Basic details

Example prompt:
You are a helpful assistant for our business. Answer only from the knowledge base and connected tools. Cite sources. If you cannot help, say so and offer to connect the visitor with our team.
Step 3 — Model
Section titled “Step 3 — Model”Choose a model tier allowed on your plan. GPT-5.4 mini is recommended for most business chat. See Model selection.
Step 4 — Attach knowledge & tools
Section titled “Step 4 — Attach knowledge & tools”- Knowledge bases — Attach knowledge bases
- Tools (Starter+) — Attach tools
Step 5 — Test
